New question about that txi7508. (wife has a fit everytime I hover over that 'purchase' button). Is it possible that the hu is trying to ground out thru the amp and that is why it is going into protection? I read a similar thread on caraudio.com and that was one of the answers (along with bad ground, trying to run lower ohms than the amp can handle and bad rcas which are not my problem). I've checked the transistors etc. and none are burned or bubbled so I'm still on the edge about whether or not they are the problem. Any input is much appreciated.

I do a fair amount of custom work. I would probably do a lot more if I had the spare time and the people who wanted it done had the spare money. Not many people here who are into the car audio scene have the money to follow through with their desires to play.
