my name is jeff i just bought a 1985 S10 Blazer x4 2 door with a 3 inch body lift new rear end new transmission and new transfer case but the motor needs rebuilt

look at 3.4 swap if its a 2.8.

whats wrong wqith the 2.8? were having it rebuilt if we cant find a doner its not bad i traded sopme bicycles for it shes deffinatley a fixer upper im going to post pics tomorrow

Nothing wrong with them, the 3.4 bolts right in and gives way more power is all. Both of mine are 60 degree v6s. My 4x4 has been swapped to a 3.4 and my truck is still a 2.8 for now.

Direct swap, like pulling a 305 out and putting a 350 in it. Why I suggested a 3.4 over a 4.3 or v8 swap.
