Default 1989 blazer brake hose guide clamp

Hello

my steel braided brake line was mounted incorrectly so it got pinched and busted. Replaced it and wondering where i should mount the brake hose guide clamp? Directions suggest mounting it to the shock. The supplied zip tie (that came in kit) does not fit around the shock. I am thinking about cutting the zip tie that is holding the shock boot on. Then mounting the hose guide clamp/shock boot together with the same zip tie. Anybody got any other hose guide/clamp mounting location suggestions?
Have a 4-6 inch lift with 35 inch tires.
Brake line is a procomp hose kit.
