Default 1994 Chevy Blazer 4.3L T10

howdy all,

got a blazer, 413000km
fully loaded, leather interior.
curious how common a tranny fluid rad/cooler is on blazers.
had to change out the spider injector. (just a refurbished. dad figured if the first one got it to 400000km, another one could do half that.

how many kms these engines go for on avg?
just purchased a k and n air filter, changed the fuel filter, about to change rear diff fluid, don't think its been done. is it worth changing fluid in these diffs? looks as though much has bled out over the years.

it has a sticking engine cylinder, any lubrication tricks? what grade should i use? (i've been using 10w40 in my 4 cylinder mazda pickup for 50000km, sticking has basically stopped completely. used to use 5w30 or 10w30 in the summer

well that's an earful. will browse 'round to see if i can lend a thought or two.

talk soon everyone,
have a sweet day.

brent

Default Welcome from michigan

To answer your question about the rads I beleive they all came with oil and trans cooler built into them at least on the 95`s and up.earlier models may just have the transcoolers built in them.
As for the engines how long they last there is no straight answer on that.If its been well maintained and not driven hard at least 200k or longer.

thanks for the welcomes yo! much appreciated.
mine currently has 414xxx km on it. and a sticky valve. (granted i need to put a thicker grade of oil in it) just doing a quasi flush with a lighter oil grade for 1xxxkm

should i be terrified of it's immediate demise?

just have to do a little bit of body work to it. will post pics soon. it had a custom paint job done at some point.
