Default 1995 Blazer with 4.3l and W eighth letter in vin

The blazer has check engine light. Intermittent crank no start. When it starts is rough then smooths out with a misfire happening. Was driving ok but stalling during acceleration. Now total stall could only go 40 mph but made it home. Replaced cap and rotor and fuel filter. Checking fuel pressure before filter and gets 50+or - for a few seconds then goes to zero when key is turned off. Finally got it started and pressure is 60 psi while running.Jump fuel pump under hood and goes to 60 psi. Disconnect jump and goes to zero fast. Fires right up with starting fluid. Non acdelco cap and rotor. Should it hold fuel pressure when disconnect the jump under hood.

Yes it should hold fuel pressure at key off. Check it at the fuel filter to determine if its in the tank or the intake plenum.

Thanks for the reply. I am checking it at the fuel filter and when the turn it off the leak down is fast after start up and no start mode.

If your not leaking from any of the external fittings or lines then you need a new fuel pump. AC Delco or Delphi only.
