Hi all. My name's Mike. I live in Escodido, CA. I just picked up an 83 Blazer, full size. This is the second K5 I've owned. The first was an 88. I'm currently working out some issues. I need to replace the exhaust and get it through smog so I can tag it. After that I'm going to need to work on the front hubs. The manual locking hubs don't feel right when you switch them. One size has no reasistance at all and the other won't budge. I have to admit the combo of a 350 and 3 speed manual in this truck is different. The 88 was an auto.

Now a question. The title I got designates the truck as a K18. Can anyone tell be anything about this designation? I've seen the K10 designation before, but not a K18.

Welcome from a fellow K5 owner!!!

Hopefully your Hubs just need to be opened and cleaned. I made the mistake of taking apart one of my old Auto Lockers and forgot how it went back together, lol

I got it moving finally. Took some extra leverage from a wrench to break it lose, but it's moving easy now. I just need to track down a cheap exhaust to get it to pass California smog now.

Ok, what is the AS1 line? I think the windshields should be the same from 81 through 91. I think they only did cosmetic changes between those years.
