Blazer Owner
I've always been a MOPAR fan, I guess you can say I was influenced at an early age. Since mopars best(only) SUV is the durango I went outside the mopar family and bought a blazer dirt cheap. I got it for $1300, and with the new parts on it I thought it was a deal. Although we never heard anything wrong in the engine, a month later a rod went bye-bye. Recently I picked up a parts blazer. The parts truck I got for $350. Here are the specs.
1st Blazer= 96-4wd-4dr-LS/250k-4.3l/Automatic/ Picked up for $1300
2nd Blazer= 97-4wd-2dr-LS/98k-4.3l/Standard/ Picked up for $350 w/new stock size tires
So the plan is to swap motors/tires, and scrap the 97.
In the process I have 2 questions.
1. Im pulling the FAN/FAN CLUTCH and replacing with electric fan. Recommended fan? Size belt change? HP+?
2. On the stock frame, I think i can fit 30-31" tires pushing it. With a 2inch lift can I fit 33s"?? And I know what backspacing is, but size wise, what would make em stick out a bit? maybe a inch pass body. just kinda subtle-like.

Welcome to the forum. I agree with cliro about the tire size stuff. I am not sure about the e-fan swap questions. You will get more reponses if you post the technical questions in the appropriate technical sections. Also I believe there is some information about the efan swap on the forum somewhere, so run a search for electric fan swap, or something like that, and you might be able to find some info for your application.
