Checkin In From Iowa...
Finally had a good reason to join, I've been wrenching for a number of years, ASE Certified, worked at a Chevy dealership for about 5 years, I'm a GM guy til I die! Always loved the S-10s, both generations, I stuck a 327 in an 84 standard cab short box in high school, currently have an 89 ext. cab 4X4 that's getting sold because this Blazer came along and I like it better! In my spare time I find cheap cars and fix them up and sell, or in this case, fall in love and keep... Anyway, I snagged this 2000 Blazer 4X4 2-Door with blown intake gaskets for $850, dumped about $500 into it and decided to keep it so here I am. My Avatar is the Blazer on the dolly coming home, had to stop at the car-wash on the way home. It had chocolate milk oil half way up the dipstick and had been sitting for a year, through a winter like that, honestly didn't know it was gonna turn out to be but I changed the oil and it sounded solid so I put Intake gaskets in it and its holding pressure and running good...in the garage anyway, it had a fender that was all jacked up when I bought it so I got a junkyard fender and it's with a friend getting painted. That's pretty much where I'm at right now. Future plans are Xtreme Ground Effects, set her down a couple inches, HIDs for sure and when the time comes maybe a 6.0 Liter swap and All Wheel Drive...in time...
I've landed on this site many times searching for stuff in the past and look forward to being a member and adding my input and helping any way that I can.

Welcome from Alberta. Its good to see someone dropping their Blazer. Most of us are the lift & offroad types. I like to see the other side of the street, even if it isn't really my style personally.
