Chiming in from Nova Scotia
Hello every one.
Ive been lurking around for a few days now looking at different threads.
I bought a 2001 LT (loaded) from a guy just the other day for $2700. Not a bad deal I thought concidering he was asking $3700. So I am at work the next day bragging about my bartering ability when a freind speaks up and asks "you want another one?"
He has a 2000 LS in his driveway that "just wont start" hasn't run in two years. He says its either the starter or the altenator. all he wants for it is $250! and he will give me the 6 basicaly new spare tires with it. Well I think why the hell not! great for parts... I buy the LS and tow it home with the LT. Next day I get up early (cause I love to tinker) and begin to pull stuff off, eg serpentine belt, air box, MAF sensor, etc... I open up the air box and pull the air filter off. the thing is black with crap. looked like a mouse lived in it. couldn't be that easy? I say to myself. I loosened up all the pulleys got rid of some surface rust, new battery, belt back on, new filter and VIOLA! it lives. so now I have two running Blazers. some luck!! got to replace a brake line or two and the power steering hose broke due to sitting in for two years but hey too cool I figure.
any way enough boring stuff from me.
Hi to everyone.
and a shout out to all the canucks..

There you are. My LT is on the right and the LS (note the kitty litter)on the left.
need to replace the power steering line and a brake line (hopefuly just one) Did some work to it yesterday, fixed a rusted door lock/latch. can you belive that even after 2 years of sitting the gas still works and the battery actualy charged and held a charge?
Sisk I am in Beaverbank. Where are you?
