Fing new guy

Hey guys, just recently picked up an 03 trailblazer with the 4.3l LS 4dr. I want to do some upgrades because i know the power is there with that motor but just dont know the best route to unlock it. Help me out?

Possibly have conflicting info here, just making sure

Is this a 4.3L V6, or a 4.2L inline 6? What is the 8th character of the VIN?
