Hello; New guy to the Forum, Blazer and S10 Chassis in general. Not new to wrenches or busted knuckles.
Recently pickup up a 1996 Chevy Blazer LT 4x4 for $600 in rough but decent shape.
The body is straight and rust free. It doesn't burn any oil and the transmission shifts smooth.
The previous owner did no maintenance on the thing seemingly ever. It does have a few seemingly major issues. The 4WD didn't work, steering box is worn out and it felt like it was intermittently running on 5 cyl.
One trip to AutoZone and I now have working 4WD, engine idles and pulls to redline smooth.
A good start with more work to be done.
