Greetings all!
Greetings from the mid-west, My name is Chris and currently reside in a small town in Minnesota called Glyndon. I am actually here for my wife and father in-law. Just recently my wife inherited her mothers 1996 Blazer LT, unfortunately who recently passed away
Now my father in-law and i have been working on this truck for the past two weeks or so and have been having some issues. I have done some research on it, we have tried process of elimination of things that we have found online. But it still is having the same problem?!?!?
Now for the problem we are having (also i apologize in advance if this is the wrong section to post this but i figured i should greet my self). Anyway, as i said before it is a 96 blazer and we are having a major problem with throttle response ie: push the pedal to the floor, RPM's are up but gain no speed?? Also we are throwing the infamous code PO300 (random miss-fire). How ever, plugs and wires are brand new,cap and rotor as well, just replace fuel filter and fuel pump along with the fuel pressure regulator. Also the coil is not bad, did buy a new one hooked it up and still had a back fire and the PO300 code. So initially, i am here to ask IF this could be what we have found in our research online? A bad catalytic converter, o2 censor or a bad ECU?
Also i am very excited that i have joined this forum, it seems like there is a lot of good info on here and good people! Thanks again for your help and i hope we can get this figured out soon! Hope to hear from you guys soon
