Default Greetings from Arizona

I look forward to working with everybody on the site. I have already perused a bit, and I will attempt to help out in any way possible, while at the same time learning from everyone else. Picking up my Blazer this weekend, at which time the fun will commence. I have owned a Trailblazer in the past, but this will be my first Blazer (or S10 of any manner). I'm getting one that is completely stock, but it will not stay that way for long to be sure. It feels good to reacquire the modification bug. It left me for a while, but I have a feeling that its back for good.

Welcome from Michigan... So what are you getting? And what are you planning on doing to it? Post some pics...

Default Here is a pic

I'm picking this up at the end of the week. 2000 2wd LS. Has a few dents and the paint is doing weird things on the hood thanks to the Arizona sun, but it runs great, drives well, and is a sufficiently clean blank slate, as it has not had any modifications done to it as far as I know. I'm buying it from a friend, and I know he takes care of his vehicles and services them regularly, so with only 108k, it will last me as long as I want it to.

As far as modifications go, first on the list is replacing the stereo and speakers, as the factory head unit has lost cd capability (and I haven't had a car with a 'system' of any kind since I had my first child nearly six years ago). I'll probably have all the little body work stuff done at some point, and the grille, headlights, and taillights will need to be replaced as well. They're looking pretty aged.

The fun stuff will happen around the first of the year. It is my intention to do the Rough Country lift, Pro Comp black steelies, and BFG's or comparable 30"s. After that, based on how difficult it is for my kids to climb in the back, I might do the nerf bar/bull bar combo as well. Just have to see how it goes. Somewhere mixed in to all that is a Flowmaster too.

Default Different person

I had to look up xs400 to see what it was, so no, its not the same person. I was on svrider years ago, but I don't remember what user name I was under. I got off bikes after an accident shattered my shoulder socket and collarbone a couple years ago. Four wheels are just fine for me at this point.
