Hello 0/
I didn't start with an introduction, but I reckon that that can be fixed.
I am a Machinist Mate in the Navy with just over seven and a half years in. I am currently stationed in Norfolk, Va, and have been stationed in Charleston, SC, and bangor, Wa.
I've had a few S10's over the years, but am now on my first S10 Blazer. I would love to restore an early 70's Blazer some day.
Back in September, I bought a 2000 4.3L 2dr 4wd Blazer with the purpose of making it a toy. Seeing as how I already have a Wrangler with 4 or 5 inches of lift and a pair of D44's, I decided to take this the other direction and make it something of a corner carver. I've made a few minor modifications to the engine and trans. I will be giving it an AWD conversion, about 3 inches of low and making a few mods for personal preference and creature comforts (heated leather seats).
I've learned quite a bit from my various projects, and a father that has more than 30 years of experience as a tech at GM dealerships. I hope to be able to contribute to the comunity here!!
A few pics, because we all love pics:
And the most recent pic I have of the Jeep:
