Default hello!!!!

Well new to here so ill introduce myself.

Live in Warren,Mi
29
Wife n 3 kids

Just picked up a 99 jimmy, 4 door, 4wd, slt, with 178k of goodness .

I use to have a 87 fullsize blazer with 6" lift, lt1,38" rubber but I was only 17 so it got fkd up lol.

Now I own a 97 neon that has been my project for 4 yrs now.

Me n the wife sat down n talked about plans for this truck n figured out makin it a gtfotw truck is the best choice since MI drivers are ****ty + crappy winter weather.

So plans for the truck(depending on what will work and what won't) are: engine- cai, full exhaust no cats, tune, maybe sc down the road
Suspension-upgrade t-bars,upgrade shocks,upgrade leafs, t-bar crank,3" shackles,2" body lift,30" tires
Body-front n rear lights,hood,brush guard,tail light guards,side steps

Found pretty much all the parts to make it look sweet just gotta figure out the mechanical stuff with the help from you guys!!!!

Hi,
Welcome to the forum from here in the UK, I am familiar with the Warren area as we have friends over there and have visited a few times.

Hi
This is usually a very busy forum, surprised you haven't had more greetings. Plenty of people on here usually willing to help with any problems you might have, I have had some very useful advice, very handy especially as we don't have any Chevy support over here.
Our friends actually live in Clinton, we were over there a few years ago and hired a Chevy based motorhome to travel around Michigan, also have friends in Charlevoix. It was there I got hooked on getting a Blazer when I returned home, having been lent theirs for local journeys. Nice to hear from you.

Sweet that's good to hear I picked a good forum to start with. I'm the kinda guy that likes to triple check before I start tearing into something n its hard to do that without the help of others.

I just so happened to have a couple issues already. Back glass and back wiper aren't working n its stuck in 4 low

I need to get a haynes book badly. but from what I got from here is for the 4wd is: check connections n vac hoses first, then check tccm n encoder module? It kinda sucks but I can't expect it to be great with 178k miles on it.

Welcome, and this is a pretty active forum. Be sure to use the search funtion, any problems you may have most likley have been discused before. But the guys on here are really helpful when it comes to mechanical issues.
