First off, welcome!

As far your CV and Ball Joints, any added lift to the vehicle is going to cause extra strain on your front end parts, regardless of the amount of lift. With that being said, do not lift your truck via the torsion bars anymore the 1-1.5" or it will cause excessive wear on the parts. Alot of guys get a body lift, it's cheap and can be done in your driveway. Good luck!

Hmmm, Well, I already leveled out my front to meet my stock rear end...Wish I could remember the original measurements.

I just drilled and mounted them on the stock roof rack. Here are some pictures:

i really like the thought of just mounting them like that....i dont think i could pull that look with mine...would end up lookin like biohazed...dont wanna do that to him....dare to be different

I really can't think of a better place to mount them. they have stood up to some pretty substantial abuse thus far up there. And the angle you get on the trail is near perfection.

Be careful with water following the wire and by-passing the seal, had a wet carpet because of that with my Satellite receiver antenna for my XM radio. Bad enough I had to cut the insulation and hang it up to dry, took a week to dry it out.
