I am new to this site. I came on here to find some info on exhaust and upgrades for performance and increased mpg. Anyways
I have a white 96 S-10 4dr 4x4 blazer. I bought it about six years ago with 96k on it. It now has 140k on it and still running great. It has never given me any problems. I keep up with the maintenance and it gets me to work and back everyday without missing a beat. I could very easily trade it in for something newer and better but I like it too much to do that.
I moved out to Pennsylvania about six years ago(bought blazer shortly after moving here) from California. I plan on moving to California eventually and figured now would be a good time to do some upgrades to my blazer so it is performing greatly to tow my stuff. I'm planning on putting a magnaflow exhaust and Catalytic converter. I already have the CAT and now just trying to figure the right muffler to use. The cat rattles and is in many pieces bouncing around in there. I already replaced fuel pump,filter and fuel pressure regulator(just to make sure nothing would happen with the fuel delivery). I just changed the plugs,wires,cap and rotor a few weeks ago. I guess I could do the coil also. I put an Airaid CAI right after I got it and that helped with gas and throttle response.
In a few weeks I will be doing the ball joints,drain and clean rear diff and gears and add new fluid. A few months ago I put new rear brake shoes and axle seals. All in all I try my best to keeping in in shape so there isn't anything going to surprise me.
The motor has always seemed to run great. I'm worried about the tranny because I hear they are junk.

i bet some of that stuff was pretty frustrating to do!
