Default Hello from Kansas!

Hello everyone!

First I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jimmie, I'm 20 years old and I'm an alcohol... oops, wrong forum. Actually, I would just like to pop in and say "Hey" to everyone here. I own a '96 Blazer LS and think the whole Blazer Forum idea is rather cool. I've enjoyed viewing all of the images you've put up for display, definitely some nice rides! I especially like all the ROTM's! Since it's snowing and my truck is all dirty, I'll wait to get it cleaned so I can take some photos and upload them for your viewing pleasure. It's nothing to write home about but it's been a fun and reliable ride for me.

Not to mention, this seems to be the place to go to for advice on engine & transmission troubles. It's much better than spending all the $$$ to get it checked out. Which reminds me, I do have some problems with the Blaze (as I affectionately call her) but I'll leave that for a different time and a different section of the boards. With all that said, I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday Season as well as some fun in the snow!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Oh, I also noticed that you and me joined the forum in the same month, on the same day, only you joined two years prior.[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]I've been busy reading up, there's a lot of good information here for sure. I think I'll be here for awhile.[sm=gobble.gif]

Unfortunately I have some bad news. I believe the transmission is out in the Blaze. It's been having some problems getting out of the driveway for a few months now and has had a rather rough idle. I was driving down the highway and lost all acceleration, so I pulled over to the side and checked out what I could. The wheels seem to be locked up, the tow service could not even roll the car backwards into my driveway. One part that sucked was that I just got done filling her up with fuel - haha. I knew these problems were going on but I never had time to take it into a shop to get it properly checked out. The body and everything is in great shape, it's a good looker. I'm more than likely going to keep her and just work on her as I can afford to.

I am a sad panda. lol
