Hey guys, my name is Josh. Yesterday I had the privilege of purchasing my first vehicle, something I've always wanted. A 2001 Chevy Trailblazer. I paid 1200 for it after taxes and transfer (My uncle owns a car lot and cut me one hell of a deal on it) 130,000 miles. Leather seats, automatic, 4.3 vortec v6. Remote starter installed aftermarket. I figured since i'm proud of what I drive, i'd show it and join the Blazer forum! So could somebody give me some insight as to what i'm working with? Is the trailblazer reliable? How is it on gas? What would your first aftermarket modification be? I'd like to do a lift kit but i'm thinking stereo system first.

Welcome from Alberta.
The early Trailblazer like yours was a premium package for the normal S10 Blazer with all the bells and whistles. Mechanically it's identical to the normal Blazers. Reliability depends primarily on maintenance, like with any other vehicle.
Gas mileage you can expect to be somewhere in the 15-20mpg, and there are some who get even higher. If you find it's lower than that then you need to do some maintenance. Search around there's tons of threads on the subject. If you take very good care of it and don't have your foot hard on the skinny pedal you should be able to get reasonable mileage. I'm averaging around 16.5 mpg right now with 4" of lift and 32" AT tires. I think that's decent for a lifted SUV that's 18 years old.
Modifications depend on taste and budget. Personally I'd start with the stereo, because I spend a lot of time driving and I hate a wimpy factory stereo.
