Hi all,
I have a 1997 Blazer LS 4x4, bought in 2007 with 160k. Currently it has about 220k. It's been a good runner, and is perfect for our graveled road. On the few occasions that the 4x4 is needed, it has done quite well. Tires are stock size Dunlop Radial Rovers. I had a good experience(frightening highway situation) with these tires, so I will stick with them when available.
I've lurked on this site for years, not really a social animal online. This is by far the best forum I've seen. The member base size is enormous. The brand specific data is incredible, and parts availability is great, especially here in SE Michigan. And when the time comes, I think another Blazer will grace my driveway.
I'm not a mechanic, but have always worked on the family vehicles myself to save money. I just bought an OBDLink SX interface for my laptop, and am looking forward to learning some new things and fixing some old things. Thanks to those of you who take the time to post, it's so helpful.
I hope I will be able to contribute something as well, but the talent here is a little daunting.
