Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada
Hey from NS!
About to pick up a 1999 Blazer 4DR 4WD from the father inlaw tomorrow (Hoping) for 750.00
The exterior and interior is mint. But he used it to tow his motorboat so i'm guessing a once over on the suspension will be required.
Some of my goals for this vehicle will be:
Winterize it because they salt the roads in winter.
And Raise the truck 2" suspension with a 2" Body lift.
Any suggestions on wether I should replace the suspension or components prior to getting some shackles and adjusting the torsion bar?
Cheers!

you don't have to replace the shocks with a tbar crank and shackle lift I did just because I wanted new shocks... and welcome to the forum

Thanks Benny.
Actually I been watching your build for a while and appreciate how it came. Now is the opportunity to perhaps (if you don't mind). copy some of your ideas because they go really well with a blazer.
So when I so the suspension I should get new shocks as well. (Edit: Missed your part on the shock comment) What is a good brand to price shock?
But anyways what is a good shock to do anyhow? hehe
Cheers

I have rough country shocks, they are considered one of the cheaper brands but I like mine. You could also check 4wheelparts.com they will give you a good idea of all of the other shocks out there, and that's cool you're getting ideas from my truck. When I first came on here I got ideas from another member.

That's good news. I always have lots of beer, smokes and willing to work on trucks/cars. Maybe i'll find him and hook up.
