Hey all, my name is Jeremy, and I just bought me a 1998 GMC Jimmy for $900. I know this is a Blazer forum, so I hope I will be welcome here!! My new Jimmy has the infamous coolant leak. I was told it was the head gasket, but the truck runs and drives just fine, so I am assuming it is the notorious intake manifold gasket that I have read about. Anyways, I look forward to being a part of the community here!

Hey Guys thanks for the welcomes, I am happy to be here. I just found an awesome write up on RHD Euro Blazer Tails and I am just drooling over wanting to get a set.

I forgot to mention that I am going to be new to the Jimmy. I am coming from mostly Fords for the last 4 years. I hope this GMC leaves a good taste in my mouth so to speak.

Im sorry.. lol The only good and bad thing about a Ford truck I have found is the twin I-beam suspension. Good because the ride is smoother, bad because radius arms are a capital B to replace bushings, and king pins, etc.. O_o

 

i dont like the way it steers other then that the 302 is nice but eh lol

I was considering on trying to trade it for a k5 ... ill see if any 1 bites

 

The 302 is a good engine. Before I decided to buy this Jimmy, I was going to do a 302 swap into my Ranger. But since I am buying the Jimmy now, that won't happen. I gotta sell my Ranger to cover the Jimmy! lol
