Hello from Wisconsin
Hi, everyone!
I found this site recently, but haven't posted until now. I've spent most of my time searching posts and learning about my new (to me) Blazer.
I'm a long time S-10 Blazer 4X4 enthusiast, having owned a 1986 2DR 2.8 and a 1993 4DR 4.3 in the past. My latest is a 2004 2DR I bought just a few weeks ago:
I'd like to thank those members who contribute How-To articles. I just changed the driver's side wheel bearing hub after reading one of the articles. The directions and tips I got made the job MUCH easier and saved me nearly $300. I'm also pretty confident the Timken hub I bought will last much longer than the generic my mechanic would have used.
Last week, I changed the driver's door hinge pins and bushings. I spent $8 on the parts and $4 on a Harbor Freight spring compressor tool, instead of $125 a body shop wanted to charge.
On top of the savings, I also got the pride of having done both jobs myself.
