Default Hey everyone!! HELP!

Hey my name is Matt.. Im new to this forum.. I live in Michigan and drive a 99TrailBlazer... My truck is my baby.. lol.. I have a loud system in it and riding on 20inch spinners.. When this summer hits im gonna start putting money into the motor,, Any ideas to get some good performance out of a 4.3vortec motor????

Yes, switch to a 5.3 or 6.0 and scrap the 4.3 boat anchor.

Welcome to from New York, and you can always swap in a bigger engine or just search to got some ideas for the 4.3 here on the forum. Good luck.

Search 350 swap. Easiest swap to do in an S-series. Don't bother with the 305, you might as well keep the 4.3 IMO.

GF's dad's truck had a 305 and it couldn't tear itself out of a wet paper bag if it was facing down hill.

well that is true for stock on stock egines Pat, you can get a squirelly 305 quite easily & cheap.


if you're just lookin' for bolt on stuff, do a search on exhaust systems & CAI kits. a little custom tune would help too.
