Hey Y'all!!!
I've always liked the 2nd gen (for all their brake pad eating, nightmare tune-up, oil lines and 4L60E trans. and other issues) and vowed that when I retired and wanted my first, it would be one. I just happened to get lucky and been at the right place and right time to have picked my '97 with 204K on it for $150.00
The '97 is the one I plan on focusing my attentions on, and cleaning up and driving daily. the '96 may just become my toy, to goin the mud with, and just generally working..... Then again, maybe it'l just be a parts vehicle.
I remember seeing a big rash of spider injection assemblies going bad in the early-mid 2000's, but nothing else that scared me off of them.
Thanks for lettin me jaw a minute, I'll see y'all around from time and a gain. Thanks for having this resource and for everyone who contributes.
Ya, I've worked on cars since the '80s, but I dont know everything by any means, looking to learn what y'all got to teach, and any help I can offer along the way, well heck, just ask!
