Real trucks are built, not bought! With that said, bought a 96 chevy blazer for 400 bucks, sight unseen. the people i bought it from were friends of the family, they told me it had some body damage and didn't feel like putting the money into the truck, and they would drive it from their house to my house, which was about 45 minutes. so i figured it shouldn't be that much damage then.
At the same time i owned a 94 GMC Jimmy 4x4. so i figured if it was too much damage then I would take the interior out of the 96 blazer and install it in my 94 jimmy. ( Interior was wearing out in the Jimmy) or fix up the Blazer and sell the Jimmy.
So finally the Blazer showed up in my drive way. Passenger side smashed in, windshield was shattered, hood was bent, and the roof buckled right at the luggage rack.
I decided to keep the blazer and sell the jimmy. I had already worked the kinks out of the jimmy, drove it up and down the Rocky Mountians when I live in CO. So I wanted a new project and new adventures, changing from OBD1 to OBD2, changing systems from MAP to MAF.
After a few years, from the body shop to leak repairs, to changing out the exhaust system, I had this in pretty good shape. still has minor issues but runs and drives like new, if not better. I replaced all 4 ball joints with MOOG parts and installed Bilstein shocks and it rides like a dream. I'm currently working on a ram air set up for the 4.3L motor. future mods include 6" lift, bigger tires.

I have recently discovered a lean condition on bank two when bank one is running rich at wide open throttle, and a lack of horsepower at that specific time. I know that the GM spider web fuel injectors have problems with their poppet valves and have been looking into installing a new version of injectors from an 03-04 blazer. my injector waveform doesnt look to be all that impressive but haven't had the time to scope all six patterns.

Welcome! Seems as though you have more than a clue to these vehicles already.

well i haven't figured out my lean condition yet. still looking for my fault. but during some of my testings I found out that my coil was drawing power from my injector control circuit. I posted pic's in "My Blazer's Life" album. It could have been effecting other circuits as well but didn't scope any other circuit. I did replace my coil and it fixed my draw.

hey, i bought my blazer off a salvage auction, but was not as roughed up as yours is! car electrical is like the biggest headache in the world to me lol, my understanding of it is like next to none.
