Hi from the UK
Thanks guys , pics to follow .
Diesel is about 7 dollars a gallon here it so is gas !!!
I live on a narrow peninsula and travel about 20 miles a day to and from work .
It's varied roads so she gets a good work-out , plus this is the closest I've ever worked to my home so I don't notice the fuel costs.
It's worth it anyway just to see the looks on guys faces driving their Range Rovers and Mitsubishi's as I cruise past and look DOWN into their cabins!!!!
K5's are very rare here and most are ex-military from US air bases but mine is a Silverado model but has sensible manual windows and no air-con( less to go
wrong!). Spares are not too much of a problem as there are scrap military ones around and I have been in the American car scene for some time now and have a lot of contacts over here and over there!
My other car is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Wagon which I am starting to customise(there are only 2 others in the country !!)but as b-body chevy spares are plentiful if not exactly cheap.
Great to hear from you all and will be looking for another UK member to yarn with
BigD

not really, but you don't want a 6.5, they're electronic injected, where as the 6.2 is mechanical, much easier to operate & maintain.
Sorry to have to correct you guys, BUT Diesel in the UK is much more expensive than Petrol. Dont ask me why, but I was amazed to see the prices when I went back there last year for a brief holiday. In Zambia today, the problem is that we dont have any Petrol, long queues at filling stations for the drop they might have. I have had to park my truck and am using my wife's Daewoo.
