I figured I would finally register after a few months of looking at the forums to fix issues on my 01 Blazer. I do have a few questions about the aftermarket and offroad community.
My main question is where can I find parts like off road armour? I cant find any websites except for 1 or 2.
Looks like you have a ZR2? Nice. Those are already pretty capable. Most of us try to approximate the suspension and drive-train of ZR2 on our regular Blazers.
As for off-road extras, I don't think there much as this generation of Blazer has been out of production for over 15 years. There are a few places where you can find HD bumpers, and other equipment.
Unfortunately for you and many others, myself included, ZR2USA.com and its predecessor ZR2.com shut down a few years back. There was a TON of information on those two sites that have been lost that covered pretty much anything you can think of for the ZR2 owners, plus much of it worked for the regular Blazers. The aftermarket for Blazers in general is weak, and for ZR2 specific is basically non-existent. The companies that used make lift kits and body armor no longer support these vehicles. I do have some custom made stuff on ZR2 from a guy on ZR2USA but I doubt he makes the stuff anymore as this was probably 15 years ago or so. About the only thing you can do is find a fab shop or learn to cut and weld metal. As mentioned above, there are a couple of sites out there that make bumpers. Anything else will need to be made pretty much.
Like others have said, if you want much in the way of "aftermarket" parts, you pretty much have to make them yourself. This is my homemade rear body armor.
