I bought me a 1999 ZR2 today.
I have been looking for several months, and finally found one I could afford. I took it to a mechanic and he gave it a looksy, ( 1 1/2 hours ) to look it over. He said the motor was in very good shape.The biggest thing it needed was upper and lower ball joints, and some steering box work.The free play in the steering is around 1 to 1 1/2 inch. and New tires these are shot. I should have some pictures up by the weekend.

Yesterday I cleaned the carpets, seats and head liner, then sprayed it out with lysol. This to get rid of the old stale smoke smell. It seams to be ok but I think I will have to look into something else.
Today after work i ran it down to the car wash, washed it, then noticed that the pain was flaking off the fender flares, and luggage rack, and the decals on the sides were flaking off.( I am going to try toremove the decals, hopefully this weekend)
I got my code today and unlocked the radio that wasn't to bad.in about a month I will take it in and have the front end and steering fixed. Then a couple of seals relaced, new tires all the way around ( including the spare)
On both sides between the back glass and the back seat glass there is a " Limited edition" decal on it. I did not know they made a Limited Edition Blazer.Or is this something someone just put on it, anyone know?
I also have to relace the middle console lid, it looks like someones kid jumped up and down on it, guess I am going to visit a junk yard or two this weekend as well.
