Default I Love my Blazer

Last year I had a chance to buy 1997 Red Blazer that had a blown engine and the front end was smashed from hitting a deer. I looked around for a replacement Vortec and found a 2002 with only 16K on it. I have done a few things on cars, but I am no mechanic. Over the last year I was able to get the old motor out, switch the wiring harness over, and get the thing running. Last week I took it on the maiden voyage, and I love the way it drives and handles.
Some of the things I ran into really took alot of time, but for the most part it all seemed very straightforward. Some of the major issues I ran into:
[ul][*]The motor was from a 2 wheel drive, so the oil pan and oil filter mount had to be switched out...did'nt realize it until I was trying to drop the motor in.[*]Damaged the metal fuel line and had to replace it.[*]The car had set idle for 5-6yrs, so I had to put in a new fuel tank and fuel filter.[/ul]
I don't think I would do it again, but I feel like I learned a lot, and I really I have deep appreciation for this Blazer.
