Well I'm not technically a blazer owner, my S truck is a 99 GMC Jimmy SLT. I have a love hate relationship with my truck. I love hating it! lol. It has served me well for 5 years and well over 100k miles. With over a quarter million miles, most of them mine, I got my money's worth out of it.
Well I guess I should tell you about the truck. Short of the Envoy package (which doesn't have tow hooks and screw that), I am not aware of any options the ole girl doesn't have. She's black with a pewter bottom, and leather interior. The factory SLT wheels are horribly ugly, and were replaced with 99 Z28 wheels. I think if I didn't have a moon roof, I never would have kept it this long. I found out the seats were heated in 80° weather, while in a drive-thru, to close to the wall to open the door and find the switch. My first reason to hate her. The drive train has been flawless, but the stuff that makes it a nice truck has given me fits. Being a Ford guy, I wanted an Explorer. The combination of the Explorer having a tranny with a glass chin, and a good deal on a loaded Jimmy, landed me in the ole girl. She has been with me through ridiculous Ohio winters, hellish summers working in Florida, living on 129 "the tail of the dragon" in North Carolina, the mountains of Kentucky, and now the mini mountains of Northwest Arkansas. I've camped in her at many many music festivals, and a little lake in Tennessee, with a cute lil hillbilly girl. She survived 1000 miles loaded to the bump stops. I still love to hate her, but she is mine, and she isn't

Yeah I'm not too sure what to make of that OP ... but Welcome from C eh N eh D eh ... eh (that's Canada lol).
These, like other vehicles have particular issues, hence why we're here.
Search, welcome & join the club... it's not all bad.
Very capable off road & really decent DD. But not great lol.

Welcome from Alberta! My feeling on the Blazer is that while it does occasionally have it's warts, I find it's pretty easy to work on and the forum here has a ton of information and helpful people who legitimately want to help, which makes it all the more easy to love.
My wife has tried to talk me into selling the Blazer in favor of a car (especially since we traded her minivan for a Durango) but so far I've been able to convince her that the Edmonton winter's merit a solid 4x4.

You feel good about yourself, the significant other does as well & that's hard to replace/duplicate.
NM what if something happened & you HAD to get her to the hospital or a child?
Ambulances etc are limited.
I'm not trying to justify having a gas guzzling 4.3 blazer but they do come in handy when needed.
