I still don't know why GM put 1st gen rear bumpers on export 2nd gen's. Maybe it's a trade-off for the fender flares? Or maybe they had too many 1st gen bumpers left over so used them for export.

Yeah, I couldn't believe he only wanted $2000 for it. It does need some work, like I listed..but most of it is minor stuff that doesn't effect the everyday driving, so it's something I can work on over time.
I love it so far though...I drove around all last night just to drive it lol.

lol, just realized i posted my truck pics in your thread and not mine that i started.

the only thing i can not fix is the rear cargo area carpet. the guy who had it spilts what looks to be a entire can of white paint. it stayed in the back but the carpet it toast. not sure if i pulls the carpet out of anther truck if it is easy to install.

haha, no worries, it's good to see it anyway. The carpet in my cargo area is shot too. It's worn down in about a foot x foot patch right down so there is no carpet left, but it's not down to bare floor. If you were to replace the back, I would assume you've have to replace all the carpeting? I could be wrong, but just by looking at it it looks like one piece.

PS - I just uploaded pics of mine. They were only taken with my cell, so the quality Isn't that great. I'll get some good pics up soon of it.

You could cut out the patch that needs to be replaced, buy some matching carpet, and replace that patch.. quick, cheap fix and it'll look better than the worn spot.

That's a good idea actually...but I'm thinking I'll probably just get a rubber mat to go over it.

ya, took a better look and I think it will take way too much time/work to pull out and replace. When I get back to NS will just get some carpet and cut to fit the floor.

Also after talking to my brother, at his new job daily he is calling up auto yards to order new and used parts for the dealership he works for. He's able to get me a completely new front grill and rear window support arms for $107/can taxes in.
