Just had the guts to join today..
I am in the process (for over a year now) customizing my blazer and finally felt I have just enough done so far to show off. I got my 2000 Blazer .. actually my first blazer ever last February. I traded a 99 Isuzu rodeo out right for it. I never was much of a blazer fan until I started seeing a few really well custom extreme models. Although I wasn't lucky enough to trade for an extreme model I figured " what the hell" I can make this one an "extreme clone".
You can see some of the customizing I did in my pics.
First thing I did was -removed the spare tire mount from the tail gate and rear wiper along with the roof rack.. I then filled in the holes.
Second I cut off the rear bumper and installed an extreme smooth roll pan.
Third I took out every interior trim piece and had it redone from the original " blue on gray " to (sun yellow on triple black) I also installed white face gauges.
Fourth - I had the ever popular rust spots just in front of both rear wheel wells. Im sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. I cut off an spot welded new sheet metal on both sides.
Fifth- I replaced needed repair issues under the hood and thought why not do a little mods while under the hood. . So I had the engine bay painted (True blu on Sun Yellow)
I am currently doing custom extreme fitted body work and having the exterior painted Sun Yellow. I am also going to be getting new tires and rims a new hood with scoops and a new custom front bumper.
I have currently put in over $3000 this past year in this blazer and plan to dump another $3000 in it this spring. I will be adding new photos as I go so keep an eye out if you want to see progress.
I feel in love with custom blazer of all types and joined on here to hear and see what others have done. So if you want to share ideas or photos with me I'm all open for it.
