Hey everyone I just recently bought a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4x4 with 163k miles on it. I bought it in pretty rough shape for 250 with no brakes. Fixed the brakes, 4 wheel drive vacuum hoses, and a couple other small things. I have 950 into it including purchase price. Yesterday I had a small mishap backing out of a barn, and hit a 4 wheeler with a opened rear door and it bent back about 110 degrees. Now my door wont close or open very easily. The front of the back right door rubs against the (Blue) front passenger door when I try opening it up or closing. Can anyone help me out? I know it looks like a larger easy pop out dent but I'm lots more worried about opening and closing the door (and the door frame). Thanks! Sorry the images are so large.
Considering the gap is so close you really are better off just getting a door in good shape yourself from a boneyard. 2 hinge pin kits at about say 9$ a pop and probably and cheap door spring tool for another 10$. Will need a buddy to make it a easy job and something to hold the door at level (floor jack and block of wood works wonders). Most of us here are not body guys. My saying is mechanical work is easy, body work is an art and I’m no artist. I really doubt you actually bent the hinge on inside and did not really show photo’s of it if you did. The metal is more likely bowed and the new angle in leading edge is making contact. I forgot- welcome to the forum.
