The infamous hot air intake... And no MAF or IAT..? Your engine would be happier with cold air AND the MAF/IAT!

Welcome to the forum! We'll help you get it all straightened out!

How cold is the air coming off of your exhaust manifold...? Yeah... Not cold. A cold air intake needs to be isolated from engine bay heat, pulling in air from outside.

MAF == Mass Air Flow sensor and is one of the more important sensors for a happy/efficient engine.

IAT == Intake Air Temp sensor and, while not as important as the MAF or O2 sensors, it still is used to maintain proper fuel air ratio in the engine.

All this information and much more is available to you throughout the forum. Our search tool works great once you learn the tricks.

in this case, its the last time i listin to a friend lol, i do have the sensor, guess il put it back, and originaly thats not where the intak goes, i got extra piping that make it go to where clean air come, but my friend tought it would be "cool" if you could actually see the dam thing :P

Let me guess, the mass air flow is the unit that goes on the pipe and its about as big as my hands right?

and i also got a little sensor that goes into the pipe, its sitll there and plugged, just hidden under right now

That's what it should look like. With it dropping back into the stock location. Your friend seems too value looks over function a little too much.
