Default my new old 4x4

My reasoning for joining this forum is to hopefully learn a thing or two. I just bought a 92 chevy s10 4x4 blazer. Its a 4 dr tahoeLT. The funny thing is I was looking for somthing that would be good for my family. So I wasnt expecting driving home my first 4x4. It was a blazer I couldnt refuse. Although my fiance' and I had agreed that we would test drive 2 other cars wewere interested in before buying anything. Needless to say the blazer was the only vehicle we test drove. Or that I test drove. Anyway long story short the old man ibought the blazer from bought it new off the showroom floor as he put it. He showed me all the reciepts for every scheduled maintenance and repairs made. He claimed that he had put it in 4 wheel drive1 time. And with only 140000miles freeway miles on a22 yr old blazer that was parked in a garage . I found a steal here that u dont pass up if canhelp. Wth push button 4wheel drive and the factory option 4.3L vortec V6 motor leather seats. The condition both inside and out was amazing . I gave that old man his full askingprice of $ 2000.00 sold! I was stoked. My girl on the otherhand didnt talk to me for 3 days. If given the chance would I do things different? Not a chance! Id like know just what kind of up grades if any are there for this blazer and engine option? Also suspention lift kits and other offroading accessories available.

Whats up! from northern california. Im going to posst some picks . As soon as I figure out how, I need to do somthing about the terrible gas mileage. I calculated my blazers fuel consumption and as I thought. 17mpg isnt all that great. Also starting the engine gives off a big cloud of smoke. Its smells like its running rich. Im hoping a tune up solves the problem. At first I feared worn piston rings. And I still need to do a compression test. I ve been closely monitoring my oil levels and they remain unchanged. Any advice?

Welcome from Alberta. There's tons of info in the lifting tech section for lift kits. Also check out the builds threads. Many people here have build threads showing what they've done with their trucks.
