Default New Blazer

Hello from Missouri. My wife presently has a 98 Blazer with 367,000 on the original motor. The heads have never been off. I know it sounds like a load but it's the truth. It's had a couple of transmissions but nothing else but the typical things with Blazers. We just bought a 97 with 160,000 miles. What can you guys tell about that year? Thanks in advance.

I'll take some and post before we sell it. The body is straight without any rust but the interior has seen better days. Sorry about the question. I"ll post in the right thread

it's not all that different from your 98.
interior is a different styling and outside looks are different (front end/rear bumper set up, lights, grille), it probably has drum brakes 9at least in the rear), no P side airbag, and a sweet 1 star crash rating for your passenger (driver gets a 3 though!) to name a few changes

most of the same issues you ran into in the 98 (powertrain wise) as it is all basically the same stuff.

welcome from central PA, i have a 97, all i can tell you about it is if taken care of properly it'll last many years the guy who owned mine before me kept it in tip top shape never went through any mud or rain deeper than a couple inches washed the engine every 6 weeks had it regularly serviced..runs like a dream for me its goin on 156k and the interior is almost factory perfection (minus mud from ..some one *whistles innocently*)
