New Blazer Chic from Oregon
Hello there! My name is Marissa. I am new to the forum scene, so hopefully I will figure it out soon.
My first vehicle was a 1992 Blazer, but I have since upgraded to a 1998 Blazer. It is pretty much stock at the moment, but will be going through some changes shortly. My friend is going to make a custom winch bumper for it, lift it a few inches and get better tires.
I haven't done much offroading in it, but since joining Search and Rescue I have gone a few times and it was awesome. Here are some pics, if you'd like to see more SAR offroading pics visit my myspace: SARJeepPatrol

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see that you're not afraid to tackle a bit of mud. A few inches of lift and some beefy tires will work wonders for you I'm sure.
BTW I have a love hate relationship with Oregon. I love the eucaliptis (sp?) honey the make in southern Oregon. (on the coast near the California border) and I love Crater Lake. I hate the fact that the only speeding tickets I ever had in the States happened to be in Oregon [sm=smiley19.gif]

I love getting my rig dirty! Next month our SAR training is in the snow... Hopefully it will do well.
I have never tried that kind of honey, but i'm not really a honey person.
Was it the state cops that you were stopped by?? They like to hand out tickets.

Welcome and it always feels good to get it dirty till you have to drop your transmission. Watch out because if the mud in Oregon is like the mud here in Texas it'll turn to concrete. Anyways, be sure and let us know what type of lift and size tires you go with.
