Default new blazer owner

Hey guys I just got a 1979 4x4 blazer cheyenne. My goal is to get it reliable enough to be my every day truck/hunting truck and still look half way decent. Nothing electric, heat works, few odd details. Couple questions on stock suspension what are the biggest tires I can run with no chance of rubbing even under flex. I read 30x9.5x15s, but some say those rub on a stock truck with flex. Any history or comparison of these vs the old 79 broncos would also be great. Thanks and I hope I found the right place.

Ty, sorry about the spelling, not exactly my strongest point. So after reading up seems th 79 bronco had a 400 engine that's not very popular, but people seem to love the axels. I can't seem to find much info at all on the 79 blazer as far as good vs bad design points. Some people say stock blazers can run 30" tires others say next size down because 30s rub under flex. Can anyone give any of their views on this year, engine, tranny etc. Also what does the cheyenne designate? Thanks in advance just looking for some history on the old beast as it was born when I was.

Welcome. I can't say much about the truck but Cheyenne should be the trim level/package for the truck though.
