Figured I'd introduce myself, been lurking around checking things out. Traded for an '87 K5 today showing 96k on the clock. Not sure if it's 196 or just 96 but I guess at this point it's irrelevant. It's going to be a project/DD and eventually given to my son for his first vehicle. Previous owner said it's got a new/rebuilt transmission and seems to run pretty good. Things on the to do list include replacing the seals around the top, replacing the weatherstripping, new paint, lift, tires, and wheels, louder exhaust, and redo some of the interior. The steering wheel is a little loose (has some up and down play in it), tailgate won't go down, and the ac doesn't work but other than that I'd say it's a good find.

Anything in particular about the K5 I should be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance!
