i just went from a 1983 bronco to a 1984 jimmy classic sierra, does the 4 wheel drive engage and disengage the same as the bronco?

Welcome from Alberta. I don't know how the Jimmy Classic shifts, but if its like my old Yukon then it's still shift on the fly for 2hi-4hi and back. Hopefully one of the K5 folks will chime in here.
