don't think i've ever heard of anyone blowing up a rotory before-and i know i beat on the '85 GXL-SE he has quite a bit.
yea he is from london as well, and as for blowing rotorys up, its real hard to blow up a gxl by beating it but the turbo versions are more prone to that sort of thing especially with a bigger turbo and more boost.

heres a shot of mine after i painted it it was a none turbo which i then sold to londonmazda which he has now sold but its still rockin the streets.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes! and yeah, london ontario is where i'm from.

I think i may leave the steps, we'll see how old man the steps look once its lifted and stuff, I want to eventually get a basket for the roof, some big ol' lights and a sticker that in some way mocks the "jeep/hummer/tank/exxon valdez recovery unit" but i haven't thought of one yet.

and yeah, rotarys are pretty well known for their blowing up. Let me do a quick rotary google image search.

no need to think brother, Unlimitedsp has some in the Ford, Jeep, and Import Recovery Team Decals thread found in the classified sections (just click on the name, it'll link ya-just in case you didn't know that)

i've seen that Vette powered RX before-or another one that had the same transplant done to it.

Chris, there is an RX7 running around the Maritimes with an LS1 in it. It's an older boxy style though. A really nice blue. I think I have a pic of it somewhere on my laptop from the races in Miramichi this summer. I'll have to go digging for it and see if I can find it. Funny thing is it didn't even run that fast..

you should see the car one of our customers @ work races. we grind his cranks, turbo shafts, & trany shafts whenever he breaks 'em.

he's putting out something in the neighbourhood of 1200hp on a rotory!
