Default new dude from ny

hey, im a new member from upstate ny, i got my first blazer zr-2 yesterday, trading for my s-10 xtreme, um i got a few question about this truck, for some reason it looks like the rear axle is too short for the truck, can someone tell me if thats normal, the front comes out to the flares, but the rear is still under wheelwells, and the rear looks like its an inch tucked in, is that how they are?

Welcome from Philly!!! and yes it is normal for the rear axle to look like its 2 short for the truck, My '95 LS is the same way, I think it was GM trying to cut corners and use the same axle for the rear wheel drive trucks with the 4WD trucks ... but that I could be wrong.

Welcome to the forum from Canada!
Can I ask why you went from an xtreme to a zr-2? Total opposite ends of the spectrum lol. I love both though.

Welcome from Jersey. I have no clue as to why it would be shorter than the front, sorry. Biohazed's theory would make some sense, though.

Welcome! from the wild west of New Zealand.
Yep the rears are the same down here too, thinking about 1inch spacers to line up with the front but have to get them certified.

Welcome from New Zealand. Just get rims with 3" or 4" backspacing. That should make it look better.
Stock rims I think have 5" or 6" backspacing. I've got 4" backspacing on the Black Beast.

Spacer could be an issue yes, but my truck came through compliance ok foxxie - must've been acceptable.
