not really If you drop the pan a few inches you should be able to change the gasket.

I never dropped a pan in these 4.3s before tho. Im sure someone will chime in whose done it before.

maybe ill pick up a gasket when i get the wheel cylinders, i hope the cylinders are why my brake light is on, or else i have no clue why.

A leak would trigger the brake light.. SO im 90 % sure why its on. Make sure you bleed the lines well.

thanks man! now if only i could find a rear spare tire holder hatch mount. my hatch is missing it, all i have is the swinging assembly

Hey I live about 30min from Cedar Rapids. & just FYI there's a 2nd gen 2dr with a spare carrier out at the junkyard near kirkwood. It use to be Kay's acres but changed ownership. I was out there a couple of months ago & it was still there.

Thanks i ended up pulling the Latch for that swing from the JY. I got my rear brakes installed (along with a new drivers side brake line). no leaks now. GTG

hailing out of davenport myself got a 2dr '03 4x4 that's my daily driver, got big plans for it though.

Well i got the brakes fixed, Tire swing hatch, T-Bars cranked, and did the throttle body mod. Doing good so far!
