Looks good in red!

Hello all,

I Just picked up this nice red 2001 4door for) $1000. It was my mom’s for years and it became an extra car for her. Wife and I needed a second running car with good AC (the compressor is a brand new Delphi unit from the factory, replaced days before we got it). 138K and maintained by a municipal fleet mechanic religiously. She’s a stock RWD model, and clean inside and out. We basically were given the car.

I’ve had two other S-series trucks. A short lived 82 Pickup (beautiful, all original “Durango” edition) that blew its 2.8 out at 97k, and before that, a red and white 2 tone 85 S15 Jimmy. That thing was a dog with the 2.8, but I jave many good memories from my youth on there. I’ll dig up a photo to show later (I miss two tone paint jobs).

I’ll post our 2001 below. Basically here to get info when I need it, and share my own experiences to help others out.
