Red face New guy

Just brought home the new project, 1994 GMC Jimmy 4dr 4wd, "W". Has a rough run and idle, previous owner changed wires, cap, rotor, plugs, etc.
Still need to check out 4wd switch and fuses, actuator, hoses, etc, etc.
Ill have some photos soon, will wait till daybreak for that. Ill be checking in pretty regularly for tech info as i go along. 160k, body ok, $500. Lotta good info on this forum!!

Idles rough on startup, than continues to be rough through all speeds. Previous owner said he still needed to check the timing after a tuneup.
I will start first with egr, vac lines, map/maf, and so on, then move on from there. He did mention he replaced the intake manifold gasket, so we'll see what he forgot to reconnect and replace. Just got it home last night.
