New guy
Hey my name is Tom and I'm from New Bedford Mass. I'm new to Chevy blazers/ jimmies and I picked up a 97 GMC Jimmy for $300 bucks running with no mechanical problems at all, lol. I got the truck for a steal that why I couldn't pass up the deal, as you can see, lol.
The exterior in the other hand is a little beat but nothing I can't fix and it's a black 4 door which I'm having my second child soon, so that's a plus. I got on here to find out info and saw several black blazers here to see what a 2' inch lift and 31's tires look like on a blazer/jimmy. Well I like it and I want to just lift that, that much only, I really don't want to go that crazy of a lift seeing that I want to tow with it a bit with my drag car to the track.
I also got it because last winter kicked my *** getting stuck all the time with my hyundai elantra and I didn't really want to go through that again, lol. I had to have my wife's Isuzu Trooper pull me all the time, so I wanted to get a 4x4 something cheap$$$ and still be 4 door and I got this Jimmy.
I hope you don't mind that I have a Jimmy and not a Blazer, because I see a lot of nice trucks in here that I can see you guys can point me in the right direction with these trucks. I'm a newbie to blazer/jmmy but a expert on mitsubishi's and DSMs (Eagle Talons, Mitsubishi Eclipses, Plymouth Lasers, GVR4 Galants, and anything really with a 4G63 Turbo Engine),lol.
I'm also putting together a Mighty Max (Mitsubishi Truck) 4x4 with the turbo eclipse engine (4g63t)swap,which is fully built engine and a bigger turbo for a buddy of mines at my shop. The truck should see 300hp or more to the rear wheels with a good tune, I can't wait to see the numbers and how this thing is going to handle with that power, lol. When the truck is done I will post pics and videos of it in action on here if you guys like,
Sorry guys, if I rambled too much and hope you like my toys that I have here

Welcome from far away.
That said, now the questions.
WHERE are the PICS?
Next question - What's an Eagle Talon? See why I need pics?
The Trooper is a great truck. I think it's what we call the Bighorn here. That's also why I need pics. For confirmation. LOL
No worries on the Hyundai. We've got them here too. (The Elantra at least) BUT as racers? or is that Ricers?

Welcome to the forum!
OMG! stop driving it, and get it to a museum! If that Blazer truely has no mechanical problems it's a one of a kind piece!
As for Jimmy vs. Blazer, no worries here.

93 Hyundai Excel 4 door with the 4g63t swap pics and builds:
It's a 93 Hyundai Excel with a 6 bolt 4g63t swap and it is mostly stock besides a 90 big rod motor, 2.5 exhaust turbo back, safc I, 1g dsm ecu + harness, 550cc injectors, punishment racing o2 dump, big 16g exhaust housing on a 14b turbo with the 34mm waste gate flapper, greddy type-s, hyundai sonata front hubs, hyundai tiburon wheels and a homemade boost controller. I going to do more but right now this car is my daily driver and I love this car. I surprised a lot of honda guys with this car and the look on their faces is priceless,lol..

I'm building a 97 Eagle Talon for my wife,lol:
It's a 97 Eagle Talon TSI FWD automatic that I picked up cheap and needs work, go figure right, lol. This car is for the wife for her to get used to a DSM seeing how she loves mine, so I got the wife one of her own. So I found this beast in a junkyard for $1k and it said that it doesn't run, so I saw the problem. The firing order was wrong so I set it straight and the car ran but I hear a bad bottom end noise to find out by checking the end play on the crank, that it crankwalked. I said to myself WTF? automatic laughed and said oh well needs a rebuild! The owner of the junkyard said, I'll tell you what seeing that it has a bad motor and you come here all the time, How's $700 seem to you?, I said cash or check, lol. So a week later I got a 7 bolt 1g motor for it ready to rock and put the 2g parts on it.
Your probably saying 1g 7 bolt? WTF!! Why would you do that, lol. I will explain see being automatic you have to get custom flex plate that goes on the motor to the torque converter on the tranny. So they make that plate which is $325 and that will bolt on to a 6bolt but seeing how I have a 6 bolt that needs engine work that's going on my 2ga, I needed a motor either way.
Well someone I knew had a running 7 bolt that was mint, so I bought it off him and beginning my adventure. The reason why I choose the 1g 7 bolt is because 1)the 1g 7 bolts are not known to crankwalk and 2) it will be a easy swap and so that's why I end up getting a 1g 7 bolt.
Well he is the TT at it's first stage:

88,481 miles on it, sweet,lol.

Oh yeah of course, Tinkerbell Racing sticker, lol. Every DSMer should have one, haha.

Powder Pro coating FTW!!!

My 95 Hyundai Elantra DD for now, lol.

New pics today:
It now has a 1ga talon front bumper and bigger tires (215/60/14s) which looks like I'm ready for the daytona 500,lol.

My 95 Eagle Talon TSI AWD which I had this thing since 2001 and it's my baby, lol:

7 bolt crankwalk FTL!!!!!

Oh and the 95 hyundai elantra that I'm driving right is going to get a 9 second roll cage, AWD automatic with a 4g63t 2.3 stroker motor swap on a GT35R turbo and tec... hoping to hit 10s or less, lol.
