Default New guy from Chicago

Hi guys, I've been lurking in the background for a while but decided to finally say hi. I just picked up a 2001 ZR2 Blazer and im looking forward to modding it. Here are some pics of what I have done so far....

Before:

After some painting (All the flat black is plastidip):
Center cap for spare tire

Blacked out all the emblems

Re-plastidipped the spare and did the other 4

Spare tire rack

Repainted the tow hooks

I am going to be painting the fender flares and front and rear bumpers flat black as well. Then do the chrome in the grill and around the headlights flat black also.

I have been getting a lot of good information from this site and I look forward to being around for a while.

Thanks bro! This is the video I watched to learn how to do it....

Its pretty straight forward. I put on 3 coats total, 1 light coat and 2 heavy coats. When the plastidip is still wet, it will sort of look like a wrinkle finish but as it dries, it seems to level/smooth out pretty good. The spare tire on my Blazer already had the plastidip on it but I peeled it off when I did the other 4 so they all can have a fresh coat. And yes, it did peel off pretty easily so if you mess up, its easy to peel and retry.
