Default new guy, old problems

hey guys and gals, new to the blazer community but not to forums. A little about myself, my name is Tim and I live in the beautiful state of Wisconsin. I just bought my first blazer, its a 96 S-10 blazer LS, 4 door 4x4. Only 125,xxx miles and I picked it up for $2500.

Now for my problem, which as I've found out certainly doesn't just apply to me. Coming home today from school the headlights would flash from the low beam lights to the daytime running lights at random but pretty constant (these are the sealed headlight units). I searched on here already and have found 2 older posts about the same problem. Both posts have schematics in them which will help, but there doesn't seem to be a definite answer to the problem? A little more info which may help is that every time the lights switch to the DRL's theres a clicking noise from the passenger side behind the dash. I haven't had time to look under there yet (a little dark) so wondering if there is a relay/module or something under there that could be the problem?

Any help or suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.
