Hi All,
Just wanted to say "hi." I have a 1999 4 door Blazer that I got in January and so far, I like it a lot. I'd like to keep it running in good shape so I'm glad I found this forum. BTW, I work at an auto parts store. My father knew I needed a vehicle since my 1994 Ford Explorer gave up the ghost. I can't talk smack against the Explorer, it did get me where I'm going but it had a lot of problems. It ate rotors/drums and pads/shoes like a demon, the right rear rocker panel rusted, it had weird electrical problems and so on.
Overall, I think the Blazer rides a lot better and hopefully a bit kinder on parts. I did have to put in a new fuel pump though, it went at 100,800 miles which is par for the course according to other Blazer owners and mechanics I've talked to. A few minor issues. The gas gauge doesn't work, I thought the pump will fix it but the problem is in the dashboard. I want to wait to get through inspection before I tear into that. I'll recharge the A/C and see if I can get it to work after inspection as well, I'm of limited means. Every once in a while, I do see one drop of oil after I park it for the night but it isn't all the time.
I do enjoy the Bose system and it has almost all the bling from heated mirrors to temperature and compass. It eats gas like a mother but so did the Explorer.

Welcome from Alberta. Hopefully we can help with any problems your Blazer has. There's quite a few experienced Blazer owners here.

Thanks, all! BTW, I love the Blazer, it seems to handle better than the Explorer did. I'll have to recharge the A/C system but I want to get it through inspection first.
